Mblog gist: Exclusive Interview between Maxigram and Sultan

Ui's Rap god; Ayomde Sultan

Maxigramblog: Good Afternoon sir,
I'm the CEO of Maxigramblog, pleased to meet you.

Sultan: hello
Sultan: it's a great pleasure for me. to be on this platform

Maxigramblog: Can you please give a brief introduction about yourself?

Maxigramblog: It's an honor to welcome you here

Sultan: I am Ayomide Sultan. I hail from osun state. I am an entertainer. i love making people smile.  I studied law in the university of ibadan. and as a result of my pursuit in music,I have been able to record so many songs and have won several awards.

Maxigramblog: Wow,
That's must have been a great achievement...
Sultan: it's all grace and hardwork

Maxigramblog: So,
How has Music been so far?

Sultan: Music has been so great. It’s becoming so rapid. I have been learning both the art, theories down to the instrumentation of music. Music for me is life, from the aspect of scripting, to the point of recording and then performing. The aspect of music in enjoy the most is when am on stage to deliver my craft. The major work is behind the scene. When am on stage.am only exerting just 20 percent of the work.

Maxigramblog: Sounds like a lot of work
Don't you find it stressful?

Sultan: it's been a very interesting move with music. I have met loads of celebrities, both producers and artistes.  We have worked and also dined.  Music has made me stepped into where I would have never thought of entering.  Music is far bigger than the usual horizon

Sultan: it's pleasure for me
It's the gift of God
I find it very pleasing and interesting.
It becomes so chilled for me.cause, I get money from what I enjoy doing. so much cruise and fun

Maxigramblog: Now, that's exciting.
Maxigramblog: How has been a graduate and still being  relevant in UI music going

Sultan: it's really great for me.  I have worked,  now I am taking it to the next level.  And the reason for the relevance is so simple... *you can't impact a whole lot of people and not stand out forever*  through hardwork and my managements support, UI was a stepping stone. I have steady growing fans in numerous federal and state Universities round the country.  My Jkrue awards confirmed it. When I won the award of the *all campus awards* (Artiste of the year)2017 thanks to my alma Mata. ui.

Maxigramblog: A wonderful Achievement that is 👏
Maxigramblog: Let's take a little stroll back,

How did you start as a Rapper?

Sultan: i appreciate talented people.  it was during my high school days.when my Ghanaian friends were always entertaining us with rhymes.  I remember they organised a high school tour .of which..I didn't know I had the skills too. so I was big fan.i kept following them.
I got inspired when I saw loads of people screaming and turning up for my two Ghanaian friends. they were really good.
back in school then, we had group *x Element*
you would not be selected into the group if you don't have skills and popular.  so I began to work on myself.. I bought dagrin cds and mi.  later olamides album.  I created a part for myself. and I found out it was in me. I began to write my own lyrics.  now I could rap. but another problem began when I found out I was to timid to face the crowd.  I later broke the fear in ui.  when I was doubted by my roommate then, that I can't face the crowd and would not win the *all talented law student competition* back in 2012/13. to cut the story. I won.  since then,my life has a rapper began.

Maxigramblog: Speaking of writing your lyrics,
When does your idea come to you?

Sultan: inspiration hits me anywhere. trust me.i script it down immediately.  but there's a charm when I am on the stage. that i actually do not understand myself.each time I face the crowd.  *i see lyrics written on everyone's face* that's why I freestyle with everything around me..before performing my songs

Maxigramblog: Wonderful
Maxigramblog: Which of your raps is your favorite and why?

Sultan: you mean which of my rap song or freestyle is my favorite?

Maxigramblog: Yea

Sultan: if it is ,then it's everything.  my freestyle spurs out of different reactions and feelings.. it becomes my favorite. the moment I hear the crowd response of a scream or a loud noise.  or even when my lyrics cause a deep silence.then I know it has hit the crowd. it becomes my favorite

Maxigramblog: Nice
Maxigramblog: Do you have any latest project or UI or Ibadan at large

Sultan: I am currently working on  dropping my music and video featuring an A list artiste. .watch out
