An idea is basically a thought, plan, or suggestion about what to do, it’s something that you imagine or picture in your mind. History has thought us a lot about ideas and their uses. In fact, it has showed us that an idea no matter how small can make a big difference in our lives and futures. This is because no matter how small it may be, if put into proper use, it opens doors of success and greatness for us, and this in turn means we, when successful can also help others become a succes. Think of it, 7Up, Coke, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, The telephone, the Light bulb all started as an idea by someone and today it has helped millions of people. Sure you can’t imagine the pain of living in the 60’s when there was no internet, email, Facebook or mobile phones. Think of the pain you would have to go through to contact a person living far away from you. But now because of phones and the internet, the problem of distance has been solved. This goes to show how a single idea can change the world.
Don’t ever think that there’s going to be a perfect time to start working on your idea, because that would never happen, you can only perfect your ideas after you’ve started them. As Christians, God gives us and in fact everyone ideas so that we can be a blessing to others, and blessing don’t come in a perfect time, in fact they come when we least expect. I don’t believe there is any one without an idea, but what i ask is this, those ideas in your mind, the ones you haven’t put into action yet, don’t let it pass you by, God won’t let it go to waste in your life, he’s always ready to give it to someone else who would make good use of it. This is why you may see someone starts a business you had an intention of starting too and you end up saying I was about doing that too. But you never acted.
Do you have a business plan? start now! Maybe you want to start writing? Then start now! Or perhaps you want to start playing the guitar or another instrument? start now! What are you interested in? What’s that idea you have in mind. Please start now. There’s never going to be a perfect time to start, once you start looking for the perfect time procrastination starts and you end up not doing anything.
Note
1) Critics: You should also expect critics but refuse to answer them. While they are criticizing, you should be eulogising yourself and never let what they say about you make you quit instead let it make you stronger.
2) Enemies/Unfriendly Friends: Never tell people who’ll discourage you and kill your ideas. No one has the power to stop you! Know your enemies and never tell them about it. Guess you’re surprised I said know your enemies? Even Jesus had enemies/critics, so don’t expect any different.
3) Nothing Good Comes Easy: Once you start acting and you fail don’t stop, don’t quit. Try and try again. Who knows maybe when you decide to give it another try you’d make it finally. Remember nothing good comes easy and there will be obstacles but you’ll overcome .
Entrepreneur and e-commerce pioneer Jeff Bezos was born on January 12, 1964, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Bezos had an early love of computers and studied Computer science and Electrical engineering at Princeton University. After graduation he worked on Wall Street for a brief period, and left to chase an idea he had. Bezos quit his job at a successful hedge fund where he was the youngest senior vice president in the history of the company to start his company on Internet Entrepreneur and e-commerce. He said “I knew that when I was 80 I was not going to regret having tried this. I was not going to regret trying to participate in this thing called the Internet that I thought was going to be a really big deal. I knew that if I failed I wouldn’t regret that, but I also knew that the one thing I might regret is not ever having tried”. That decision changed Jack Bezos life. The company he started was Amazon.com and 2017 saw him grow wealthier than Bill Gates.
He knew the power of the Internet
You also have the Internet. What are you doing with It?
4) Be Positive: This is the way you should think. He said “even if he failed, it’s better than not trying”. I’m sure you’ve an idea too, don’t be scared of failing, don’t allow doubt. It’s better to try than not trying at all. By the way, how much do you think you can fail or how hard do you think you won’t succeed.
Thomas Edison ‘s teachers said he was “too stupid to learn anything.” He was fired from his first two jobs for being “non-productive.” As an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. When a reporter asked, “How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?” Edison replied, “I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.”
Today, we all enjoy the light bulb in our homes, offices, streets, vehicles just to mention a few. Sometimes, “Great success is built on failure, frustration, even catastrophy.” ~ Sumner Redstone. But there can be no great success with an initial idea.
In conclusion, I believe you have an idea,i believe there’s something that came to your mind as you read few lines, I want you to work towards them with determination work towards your ideas, give it a try no matter how it looks to you and you’ll see how powerful your ideas are.
