THE WEDDING DAY BY MOSES ENIOLA

WEDDING DAY
Soonest at every door the day shall knock,
As the son of man comes suddenly as a bridegroom at night;
From the cloud He rides on a white horse of war,
With the brightest eyes like the eye of heaven.
On His head sits the glorious crown;
And his body clothed a red robe soaked in blood,
Hosts with purified wings by His side whirl the wind
All on horses foursome and battle ready.
The bridegroom arrives for the wedding day,
His wrath erupting with intense heat;
And causing His adversaries melting away,
Who dare stand Him and His triumphant brides?
The day the chaste brides sadly rejoice,
But out of His gate gurgles a sharp fire like a dragon;
To the strayed brides,
A day of joy mould with anguish
And a greater replay of the days of Noah.
