‘Why Prison Should Be Sited In Sambisa Forest’ – Magu

The Acting Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu suggested that the Nigerian government should sited a prison in the Boko Haram’s base, Sambisa Forest.
At the commissioning of the anti-graft agency’s zonal office in Kaduna yesterday, Magu said that convicted persons of corruption within Nigeria should be sent to the home of the terrorist sect as they do not deserve to live among Nigerians.

“We want to call for the establishment of a prison in Sambisa forest in order to keep away corrupt people from our midst”, he said.
He also sought the cooperation of the judiciary in combating corrupt practices within the country and fight down sabotage against attempt to water down EFCC’s efforts.
“In this case, the judiciary has direct influence to help in the fight against corruption. Concerted efforts are being made by some big Nigerians to neutralise the fight against corruption.
“We must change the narrative by fighting back those who do not want the fight to succeed”, Magu posited.
Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna state was however commended for hosting a zonal office of EFCC in the state.
“I remain committed to the fight against corruption and I commend the Kaduna state governor, Nasir el-Rufai for encouraging EFCC to establish a zonal office in Kaduna”, the EFCC Acting Chairman said.
“We must, therefore, join hands together to kill corruption before corruption will kill us.”
“This is the reason I have suggested that we set up prison for the corrupt in the Sambisa forest, where they can be kept away and have the sobriety to be truly reformed”, he restated.
Adding to these, Ibrahim Magu is being despised by the legislative arm of the government as members fail to confirm him as the Chairman of EFCC despite Presidency’s several appointments.
